Professional experience
George Karanikolas has been a member of the DSTH since 1997 and practices criminal law litigation. As a freelance to the Greek Translation Unit of the Court of Justice of the European Union, since 2013, he is constantly in touch with Court’s case law and EU legislative developments.
He has legislative contribution via committees and working groups in which he participated as a Scientific Associate to the Minister of Justice.
He has published in legal journals, interdisciplinary activity and work on translation.
Back in 2017, George begun as an Associate. He is a Senior Associate since November 2020.
Expertise
George Karanikolas specializes in financial crime. He also handles any kind of criminal aspects of complex civil cases. In out of court level, having contributed to the conclusion of multiparty and notably demanding negotiations, he has acquired the necessary skills of a constructive interlocutor.
